Bought by Matthew de Snoring from Walter de Shandenland in 1265. The Le Stranges had an interest through Margaret daughter of John Le Strange, and wife successively of Thomas Rochford and Thomas Barnard both owners of the manor temp Henry VI. John Barnard conveyed the manor to Thomas Le Strange in 1520, and it remained with the Le Strange family of Hunstanton Hall. Henry L' Strange Styleman Le Strange, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1845).
Hamon Le Strange, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory, 1883.
Henry L'Estrange Styleman is named as the lord of the manor of Northall otherwise Barnards in the Holme Inclosure Act of 1820 [C/Sca 2/162].

Owned by the abbey of Ramsey in the Middle Ages, leased to the Le Strange family of Hunstanton Hall from at least 1439 (NRO, LEST/E 4). Passed to the Crown at the Dissolution, and granted to Thomas Le Strange in 1541 (NRO, LEST/E 5).\r\nHenry L' Strange Styleman Le Strange, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1845).\r\nHamon Le Strange, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory, 1883. It is sometimes treated in records as two manors: Ringstead with Holme on the part of Ringstead; Ringstead with Holme on the part of Holme (eg in a rental of 1819, NRO, LEST 5/1/1994).\r\nHenry L'Estrange Styleman is named as lord of the manor of Ringstead with Holme on the part of Ringstead and on the part of Holme in the Inclosure Act of 1820 [NRO, C/Sca 2/162].
