Described latterly as two messuages and 12a. near Primrose Lane and messuage and 1a. and Gardiners Close cont. 3a. in Guist, Wood Norton, Twyford, Fulmodeston and Themelthorpe (also described in detail in schedule to a deed of 1637), including small pieces of land in Guist copyhold of the manors of Guist Luton, Guist Deale and Fulmodeston-with-Croxton. Purchased in 1581 by William Batch from Simon Dymont and passed thereafter Batch-Cullen-Johnson. In 1673 Henry Wiggett purchased of Thomas son and heir of Thomas Johnson, and in 1689 Anne daughter and heir of Henry Wiggett and Samuel Westall her husband sold to Robert Wiggett, gent. Docs. include probate copy with decorated initial letter of will of John Batch yeoman (of Guist) dated and proved 1606, Copy of Court Roll of 1689 of the manor of Themelthorpe, and surrender of 1689 of land held of the manor of Bawdeswell late Symondes.
