Scope and content

These evidence files may include depositions, post-mortem reports, sudden death reports and 'Pink A forms', and files of police evidence, including copies of photographs where a case was investigated by the Norfolk Constabulary, and are arranged n order of the inquests' completion. When, therefore, an inquest was adjourned, the file is arranged not by the date of its opening but by the date of its conclusion. They are listed, initially in yearly, later, in multi-monthly, and, from January 1990 onwards, monthly bundles. From 1992, the papers of many of the inquests are accompanied by audio tapes of the inquest.
Sudden death reports, and post mortem examination reports were stored separately from the inquest files from 1996 onwards, and are listed separately, (COR4/10) and that series also includes files of reports surviving intermittently from1991 onwards.
