Administrative history

Hevingham Women's Institute was founded in 1918 and suspended at a meeting held on 8 November 1984. It appears from the final minutes that some memebers hoped to attend to Buxton Women's Institute. Another Women's Institute was formed in Hevingham, 1997-2001.

There are some gaps in the monthly meeting minutes, the largest of which is between April 1936 and September 1960. There are no Committee minutes before 1928 and after 1942.
